A grinder is required for preparation; for those without one on-hand, professional-grade grinding is often available at local grocers. The consistency and size of the grind—from fine to coarse—directly dictate the extraction and final flavor profile. The chosen brewing method, filtration medium, and the water temperature used during service—typically ranging between 195°F and 205°F—will fundamentally determine the characteristics and clarity of the finished cup.
